Day 1: Arrival at the Udaipur Airport
On your arrival at Udaipur Airport, our representative will greet you and accompany you to your hotel.
After your check-in process and maybe a power nap, you can head out and start exploring the city. The first destination planned for you is the magnum opus City Palace. The City Palace of Udaipur is the pride of the city and is a vast complex. It houses eleven huge medieval-style palaces. The construction of the City Palace, which is considered to be the royal possession of Rajput, started under the reign of Maharana Udai Singh II. Filled with domes, towers and arches, City Palace is a marvellous place which attracts throngs of visitors.
Right outside the City Palace is an array of local shops that will help you blend in the colour of the city.
Post your shopping spree, you can head to the hotel for your overnight stay and dinner.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Udaipur
After a healthy meal in the morning, you will be all set to restart your Udaipur city tour.
As per your convenience, the first place on your list is the Fateh Sagar Lake. The lake is an enormous water body and however, it might look really beautiful when you look at but it is even better when you are in the middle of the lake. So if you are ready for some adventure then hop into that boat and we assure you, it will be worth the effort.
Right after a fun-filled boat road, it is time we take you up in the air. No, we are not flying anywhere, but we are surely hungry for a better view of the city, right? We are talking of the Mansapurana Karni Mata Ropeway. The ropeway ride will give you a bird’s eye view of the city and will overlook the Lake Pichola, City Palace even the Aravali Mountains.
Next, head to Lake Pichola to marvel this man-made wonder of the city. The picturesque lake is set amidst towering hills, magnificent palaces, beautiful temples and bathing ghats which provides a stunning backdrop to the lake. You can enjoy cruising in the lake, witness the sunset and enjoy the views of the place.
If time permits, you may also take a historic tour of the heritage site- Lake Palace, situated on the island in Lake Pichola. The palace is a major tourist attraction in Udaipur and has been featured in many Hollywood and Bollywood movies.
So, after a fun filled day in this exciting city, it is time to catch up on some rest at your hotel.
Day 3: Udaipur to Jodhpur (250.6 kms. / 4 hrs:30 minutes approx)
Get ready for a road trip from Udaipur to Jodhpur, after your first meal of the day at your hotel. The distance to be covered is 250.6 kms and should take you about 4 hours and 30 mintues.
Once you check-in at your hotel in Jodhpur, you can head out to explore the city. The first destination that you will be visiting in the city is the Kaylana Lake. An ideal picnic spot for tourists, this lake offers a breath-taking view of the sunset. At that time the sky looks like a canvas splashed with spectacular colours. Kaylana Lake is the perfect place to relax or have picnics. If you are interested in birds, then, this place will further interest you.
Next destination in Jodhpur that you cannot miss out on is the Mehrangarh Fort. Seven gates have to be crossed to reach the fort. The gates still bear the marks of the various battles fought in the bygone era. Its second gate still stands witness to canon ball hits by attacking armies of Jaipur during wars.
With some relaxation and some fun, it is time to bring the day to end and get back to your hotel for the night.
Day 4: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer (284.1 kms. / 4 hrs. 33 minutes Approx)
Post your breakfast at the hotel, it is time to hit the road again and travel to Jaisalmer. You will be spending around 4 hours and 33 mintues in your travel and will be covering 284.1 kms.
In Jaisalmer, your first destination after your check-in process is the magnificent Jaisalmer Fort. The superb architecture within the fort is protected by double fortification walls and circular bastions, key physical components used for defence and battle. You can also find historical monuments scattered all over Fort that will immediately command your attention. Made of sand stones and locally known as Sonar Quila, the Jaisalmer Fort is a dominating structure amidst sands.
For your next destination in the city, you will be visiting Badal Palace or also known as the Tazia Tower. The tower of Jaisalmer is one of the major tourist attractions. It is situated in the excellent “Badal Palace” complex located near Amar Sagar Gate. These were actually the homes of the former royal family. Also, half portion of this palace is converted into a heritage hotel named Mandir Palace and another portion of the palace as Badal Vilas, the residence of the ex-rulers family.
If time permits, we highly recommend you to indulge in thrilling adventure activities at Thar Desert like quad biking, dune bashing, parasailing, etc.
At night you will be heading back to your hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure from Jaisalmer
