DAY 1:- ARRIVAL SRINAGAR
You will be met by our representative at the Srinagar airport. Srinagar, popularly known as ‘Paradise on Earth’ and 'Venice of the East’, is situated in the beautiful valley of Kashmir. Located on the banks of the River Jhelum, the city is renowned for its beautiful lakes, houseboats and numerous Mughal gardens. The word Srinagar is a combination of two Sanskrit words, ‘Sri’ meaning wealth and ‘Nagar’ meaning place. Therefore, the literal meaning of the term 'Srinagar' is 'the city of wealth. Late enjoy the shikararide in the world famous dal lake.
DAY 2:-SRINAGAR – SONMARG - SRINAGAR
After breakfast, embark on an excursion to Sonmarg which is situated at a height of 2740 meters, and is at a distance of 82 km which takes about 3 hrs to cover (one way). Relish a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. You can enjoy sightseeing to Thajiwas Glacier or other sightseeing points. Later, return to Srinagar after your excursion. In the evening, enjoy a comfortable overnight night stay at the hotel. Please note that at Thajiwas Glacier. Overnight stay at hotel Srinagar.
DAY 3:- SRINAGAR – GULMARG - SRINAGAR
After breakfast you will be transferred from Srinagar to Gulmarg. Gulmarg for Day sight Seeing, Local sightseeing of Gulmarg, enjoy pony ride or Gondola ride at your own cost. Gulmarg's one of the best ski slopes in the world and one of the highest golf courses in the world with 18 holes. View of Nanga Parbat if weather permits. Fascinating view from Tangmarg to Gulmarg. A short trek up to Khilanmarg, which can be covered in about 3 hrs. Is optional. Later in the evening return to Srinagar. Overnight at the Hotel.
DAY 4:-SRINAGAR – PAHALGAM
This Morning departure for Pahalgam. Also visit Avantipura Ruins, Mattan Temple enroute. In Pahalgam you will have a rare opportunity to visit the Saffron fields, Relax yourself at the bank of River Lidder, Back to Srinagar hotel......... overnight stay
DAY 5:- PAHALGAM - SRINAGAR LOCAL
After breakfast you will be transferred from Srinagar local sightseeing. where you visit the floating vegetable gardens. While riding the Shikara’s there are plenty of opportunities for bird watching with plentiful species including Kingfisher, Little Bittern, Common Pariah Kites, Grebe etc, at afternoon Visit famous Mughal gardens (Nishat, Shalimar and Cheshma Shahi) and famous Shankracharya temple. Back to hotel ......over night stay.
DAY 6:- SRINAGAR - COOKERNAG - SRINAGAR
Cookernag Achabal Verinag spring which is in Verinag town, issues from a high scarp of a mountain spur, and is considered the source of the Jhelum river. It is situated at the bottom of a hill covered by pine trees and evergreen plants. Verinag spring was originally an irregular and shapeless pond, and water, oozing out from different places in it and spread about and formed a little marsh. Emperor Jahangir, whose artistic taste for polishing the beauty of nature is well known, saw this and at once determined to improve it. He built the octagonal tank of sculptured stones round it, so that all water was collected therein, for which carvers were brought from Iran. A garden was also built by Jahangir next to this natural spring which is of pre-Islamic religious significance. The construction date of the octagonal tank and the garden is 1029 Hijri or 1620 A.D, during the 15th year of the Jahangir's reign, which is duly inscribed on a stone slab built into the southern wall of the spring. Seven years later, Jahangir's son Shah Jahan, who was no less a lover of natural beauty, constructed cascades and aqueducts in straight lines through and around the fine garden which he, in order to enhance further the beauty of the place laid out in front of the spring.
DAY 7:- DEPARTURE
Transfer by car to Srinagar airport with sweet memories of Kashmir.
